just another day.
looking at electronic components online and craigslist stalking for a countertop for the new brewing command center.
cream ale is ready for racking and then a cold crash. IPA is being stubborn in bottle conditioning, opened one after 4 weeks and not a bit of carbonation. although it is 62F in the brewery i may have to bring it into the house for a bit warmer environment so the yeasties will get to work.
Alll this for Beer....but its MY beer...

Welcome to my Home Brewery/Hobby/DIY Nightmare/Insanity/Addiction.
As any avid Homebrewer will tell you, this isnt a hobby. its a never-ending re-creation of what works, what you want to do next and how much will Mia (SWMBO) actually tolerate and countless hours of reading, watching videos and testing.
As for why i started a blog? certainly not to showoff my command on proper grammar and sentence structure, but more to actually write stuff down that i need to remember and share how much fun homebrewing is.
Ridgewood is in yet another phase of upgrade. in both the physical limitations and organization of the actual space and in equipment.
i have gone from brewing on my wife's stove with little cans of extract syrup to brewing All Grain outdoors on a propane rig
to building a single vessel electric rig to keep me going until the next phase.
and now im in the process (oh God) of building a more controlled, larger 4 vessel electric powered and electronic controlled rig. (see DIY Nightmare/Insanity above)
Like i said, re-creation
and with that i will call it a night (morning).
